He is a transformational leader, academic, executive coach, Pan-African business strategist and board advisor with over 17 years of experience in digital transformation, operational excellence, and driving growth for organizations across Africa, Europe and Asia. As Vice-President, Academic Director and COO of Nova Business School Africa, he leads the school’s academic vision and operational strategy while serving as its Lead Executive Coach and Entrepreneur-in-Residence, mentoring leaders and entrepreneurs to achieve sustained growth in Africa’s dynamic business environment. Â
Dr. Anderson is also the COO and Co-Founder of Venco, a fast-growing proptech startup revolutionizing property operations across Africa. His ability to guide startups through high-growth phases positions him as a trusted advisor for entrepreneurs and businesses navigating rapid expansion. Â
His career also includes leading transformational projects in the hospitality sector, advising global and Pan-African hotel management companies on service excellence, corporate turnarounds, and digital innovation. In addition, Dr. Anderson has held leadership roles in digital transformation at First Bank of Nigeria and United Bank for Africa, where he pioneered innovative customer engagement strategies and operational efficiencies that drove measurable business results.
Dr. Anderson’s academic career is distinguished by his impactful roles in leading business schools and his global reach as an educator. He served as a Senior Executive Fellow at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Africa, where he designed and delivered executive education programmes for senior leaders and organisations across the continent. His expertise in coaching has supported leaders in navigating complex challenges, driving organizational transformation, and achieving measurable success, establishing him as a key figure in leadership development across Africa. Beyond CEIBS, he has been an International Faculty at Strathmore Business School (Kenya), a Resource Faculty at Lagos Business School (Nigeria), and an Adjunct Faculty at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University (Nigeria). He also contributed to the academic community in the UK by teaching Business and Tourism at the Global Banking School. Throughout his academic journey, he has taught participants from over 80 countries underscoring his ability to engage with diverse audiences and deliver transformative educational experiences worldwide.
Dr. Uvie-Emegbo holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Cumbria (UK), an MSc in Global Management from the University of Salford (UK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Leading Innovation and Change from York St John’s University (UK) and a degree in Medicine and Surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria). He holds the prestigious Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. He is an alumnus of IESE Business School (Spain) and Lagos Business School (Nigeria), a Certified Professional Coach, and an Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) Assessor, Dr. Anderson brings a unique combination of academic rigour and hands-on expertise in leadership, entrepreneurship, strategy and innovation.Â
